In the morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and drive for approximately 3 hours to reach Dolalghat, the starting point of the rafting adventure. Upon arrival, receive a 30-minute briefing by the team leader, prepare for rafting, and embark on the thrilling rafting experience. Set up camp at Tarang Gaon, a beautiful riverside location.

After breakfast at the camp, continue the rafting journey with slightly faster rapids than the previous day as the Sun Koshi River descends to lower elevations. Experience the excitement of sharp bends and rapid tides, along with breathtaking views of mountains, vibrant paddy fields, and colorful settlements along the riverbanks. Stop for lunch and reach the picturesque village of Majhi, known for its fishermen. Take a short break to interact with the locals and enjoy tea, coffee, and snacks in local eateries. Continue rafting and reach Chainpur for overnight camping. Explore the surroundings and engage with the local community.

Start the day with an early morning trek along the B.P. Highway and nearby villages to observe the morning rituals of the locals. After breakfast, resume rafting downstream on the Sun Koshi River. Encounter the confluence of the Tamakoshi and Sun Koshi rivers, followed by thrilling rapids such as Meat Grinder, Punch, Judy, Pre-anxiety, and High-anxiety. Raft between Okhaldhunga and Sindhuli districts, enjoying the adventurous paddling. Arrive at Jaghare for overnight camping. Relax and immerse yourself in the camping experience.

After breakfast, navigate through exciting rapids like Harakpur I and reach the confluence of the Sun Koshi and Dudh Koshi rivers. Be cautious as you tackle high-speed tides, including High-Anxiety and Pre-Anxiety. As the Sun Koshi narrows and becomes more intense, proceed with care until reaching Raighat. Set up camp and spend the night amidst nature.

Enter Udayapur district and prepare for a more challenging day of rafting. Encounter thrilling rapids, sharp bends, and dense forests along the riverbanks. Experience the excitement of Jaws rapid, followed by the notorious Dead rapid. Enjoy seemingly easier white water for a while before encountering Rhino Rock rapid. Pass through another exciting rapid near the confluence of two small streams. After approximately 4 hours of exhilarating rafting, arrive at Rasuwaghat and set up camp for the night.

This day is dedicated to relaxation and leisure activities. Enjoy a delicious BBQ in the evening and engage in fishing, swimming, village walks, and other recreational activities throughout the day. Spend the night at the same campsite.

Embark on the second last day of rafting, navigating through the dense forest adorned with a series of waterfalls, caves, and rocks. This section, known as the "Jungle Corridor," presents more challenging and extreme rapids. Brace yourself for sharp bends, debris from landslides, and confluences that make paddling through the river an exhilarating experience. Encounter rapids like Big Dipper (Class IV) and Black Hole (Class III). After approximately 5 hours of exciting rafting, reach the stunning confluence of three rivers: Tamor, Arun, and Dudh Koshi. Unwind on the beach, engage in beach games, and enjoy a campfire in the tent camp. Spend the night in tents amidst nature's beauty.

Following breakfast, embark on the final day of rafting. Experience the smooth but high-volume water as you enter a dense forested area. Gradually, you'll reach the revered Hindu pilgrimage site of Baraha Kshetra Dham. Enjoy an hour of rafting before reaching Chatara, the endpoint of the rafting journey. Reflect on the thrilling memories of the expedition as you embark on a 9 to 10 hours drive back to Kathmandu. Alternatively, if you prefer to fly, you'll be transferred to Biratnagar Airport for an afternoon flight back to Kathmandu.

Rafting Preparation

One day prior, we will gather at the Dream Heaven Adventure office for a pre-departure meeting. This meeting serves as an important introduction to our team, including the Trip Leader. We will also complete any necessary official formalities, discuss trip details, the itinerary, and address any important logistics to ensure the success of your adventure trip.

Rafting Guide

For your rafting adventure, we provide a highly skilled and professionally trained English-speaking guide. Our guides possess extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the river's topography and natural surroundings. Equipped with swift water rescue training and emergency wilderness first aid skills, our guides prioritize your safety, ensuring you can relax and enjoy the experience without worry. They excel at reading river features and maneuvering the raft to guarantee everyone's safety while maximizing fun. With their exceptional expertise and guidance, we guarantee you'll have an incredible time during your white water rafting excursion.

Rafting Equipments

We provide top-quality equipment and services to ensure your safety and enjoyment. This includes a self-bailing raft, a whitewater safety helmet, modern plastic paddles, neoprene wetsuits, PFD-lifejackets, dry top splash jackets, waterproof containers or barrels for cameras and valuable items, dry bags for other belongings, a first-aid kit, tents or mass fly sheets, sleeping mats, and other necessary camping gear. Additionally, we offer hygienically prepared food and drinks during the trip.

Things you Should Bring

For the river, it is recommended to bring shorts or half pants, T-shirts (long-sleeved for sun protection), swimwear, a sun cap, sunglasses, suntan cream, a personal water bottle, and a pair of river sandals.

For the campsite, please bring a personal sleeping bag, lightweight shirts, T-shirts, trousers/pants, underwear, socks, a towel, light shoes, a fleece-type jacket, a flashlight, personal toiletries, a camera, and any reading or writing materials. If you have any prescribed medications, please ensure you bring those as well. You can store any other non-essential items at your hotel or in our office store room.

Safety Precautions

At Dream Heaven Adventure, safety is our top priority on every rafting trip. We take extensive measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our participants. Our team members undergo updated training courses in AR/CPR (Advanced Resuscitation/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), Wilderness First Aid, and Whitewater Rescue Techniques conducted by Rescue 3 International. In addition, we provide expert rescue kayakers on every rafting trip for extra safety measures, allowing you to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience with us.

Cost of the Trip

The cost of each trip varies based on the duration and size of the group. Larger groups benefit from reduced costs. Our pricing typically includes comprehensive services such as full board camping, transportation to and from the put-in and take-out points via private coach, and the provision of all necessary safety equipment.
