Various Hindu books has mentioned that water in Manasarovara has eternal power enabling personification of purity, and those who drinks water from the lake will go to the abode of Shiva after death.

He is believed to be cleansed of all his sins that were committed over his lifetime. Lake Manasarovara lies at an altitude of 15,060 ft above the mean sea level. Lake Manasarovara is considered as the source of various holy rivers like The Sindhu, The Brahmaputra River, The Indus River and The Ghaghara. Because of its religious and natural point of view, several tourists visit Lake Manasovara every year. The trekking to Manasarovara through Lhasa is easy and simple.

Itinerary

Our airport representative will be there at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu to receive you. He will directly take you to the hotel. Tonight at Hotel in Kathmandu. If you got enough time you can walk around Thamel, one of the busiest tourist centre in Kathmandu.

Breakfast. Today we will go for sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley. Sightseeing includes Holiest Hindu Temple Pashupatinath, Baddhist temple Swayambhu Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. As mentioned, Pashupatinath is one of the holiest and must worshipped Hindu Temple. All the Hindu followers all over the world wish to visit Pashupatinath once in their lifetime as there is a belief of getting salvation after its visit. Similarly today we will visit some Buddhist stupas and Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is under reconstruction and renovation after its devastation from earthquake. Tonight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Breakfast. You will get an authorized guide to help you in your trip. Today you have to go Tribhuvan International Airport for our flight towards Lhasa. Your departure destination will be at Gonggar Airport, Lhasa. Even there will be our airport staffs who will take you to the pre-booked hotel. Today we will manage our day for acclimatization as the geography of Kathmandu and Lhasa is different and we will prepare our further trip plan. Tonight at hotel in Lhasa.

Breakfast. We will stay in Lhasa for sightseeing at Jhokang Temple, Barkhor Street and Potala Palace. Jokhang is a Buddhist temple in Barkhor Square in Lhasa. Tiobetan considered thgis temple as one of the mosrt sacred and important temple in Tibet and its architectural style is a mixture of Indian Vihara design and Nepasese design. This temple was founded in 7th century, during the resign of king Songtsen Gampo. Jokhang Temple has been surrounded by an ancient round cstreet called Barkhor Street. Every year various pilgrims especially Buddhist visit Barkhor Street. This street reflects original and unique outlook of Tibet. Similary another must see place in Lhasa is Potala Durbar. Potala Durbar was contemprorary residence of the Dalai Lama till 14th Century and is convereted as a museum and listed under UNESCO world heritage list. Tonight at Hotel in Lhasa.

Breakfast. Visit to Norbulikna Place and then we will start our drive towards Shigatse city. Shigatse is a prefecture level city of Tibet and is located aat historical Tsang province of Tibet. It is the second largest city in Tibet. Tonight at hotel in Shigatse.

Breakfst. We will pack all our lunch at the hotel and it will be served on the way. Todays drive is quite long. Saga is a town and township in Southern Tibet , which lies at an altitude of 15, 223ft. Tonight at hotel in Saga.

Breakfast. Today we will reach the holiest lake Manasarovara. We will pack our lunch so that we could take it on our way. We have to drive through Mayum-La Pass and after reaching Manasarovara we have to leave our bus and need to take some government bus that will be available all time to reach the Manasarovara Region. This government bus will takes be there to our visit in Mansarovara Region. Onernight at  guest house.

Breakfast. It will takes approximately 1 hours to reach Darchen by bus. Then we will move further towards Denhrapuk, after which parikrama around Manasovara region will start. Manasarovara Parikrama will takes about 6 hours.During this Parikrama, you will get an opportunity to touch the feet of Mount kailash. This Parikrama will ultimately takes you to Dehrapuk and Overnight at lodge in Dehrapuk.

Breakfast. Today our journey will be difficult as we have to pass through Dolma-La Pass (5250m) and the weather is also unpredictable. Snowfall may occur at any time. So it will be good to start our today’s journey as early as possible. Overnight  in Zhulthulphuk.

Breakfast. We have to trek around 8km to reach the point where our guide will be waiting us for our further journey towards Manasarovara. Then we have to reach Dongba so that we can sat in hotel at Dongba overnight.

  • Q1. How to get into Tibet?

    There is only a international flight which from Kathmandu (Nepal). If you want to go there by overland it’s also possible from Kathmandu (Nepal). However, domestic flights are available from most cities of China like Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kunming, Chongqing, and Guangzhou. You are also able to travel by overland from these places.

  • The best time to visit Tibet is early May to late October but August and September are golden time. Except mentioned time weather is cold and changeable so travel is not impossible.

  • You can get the Tibet Travel Permit easily through a travel agency except diplomats, journalists, and government officials who should travel to Tibet under the arrangement by the Foreign Affairs Office of Tibet Government.

  •  Yes it is possible travel to Tibet alone, but restrictions are imposed on travel to many areas.

  • We advise you to keep basic medicines with you. Our guide will also take basic medicines. If you have altitude sicknesses during the travel please inform your guide in time so that a timely precaution can be taken. In case of serious condition you will have been drive to Lhasa or Kathmandu which be near.

  • Yes, but only the Bank of China in Lhasa has this function. However, the ATM there doesn't always work properly. So we suggest you to bring some cash with you.

  • While travelling in Tibet Sunglass, Sunhat, Good walking shoes, sleepers, warm enough clothes, easy light pack are recommended.
