Langtang Region Trek

Langtang region Trek is one of the most accessible trekking areas, which lying just 132 kilometers north of Kathmandu valley. This is third popular trekking region in Nepal by offering a multitude of trekking destinations, all accessible without flights.

Langtang Region trek is famous for biodiversity and scenic beauty and also unique culture of the Tamang and the people from the Tibetan origin. This Trek is every bit as spectacular as most of the better known destinations and also offers outstanding close-up mountain views and unique villages with well-established tea houses along the trail.

Lang-tang Helambu Trek is ideal for short duration treks and is especially suited to winter season in Nepal. The region is situated between the major Himalayan ranges like as Langtang Lirung (7246m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangri (5846m), Yala peak (5700m) and Dorji Lhakpa (6966m). Langtang National Park is first Himalayan national park in Nepal and second largest by covering about 1,700 sq.km.

This trek offer you high crossing passes, Super mountain view, beautiful Holy lake like Gosainkunda, picturesque Sherpa village, impressive display of wild flower, an abundance of wild life, Monasteries and many more. This region is a home of 15types of forest 3,000 species of flowering plants, 32 mammals and 283 species of birds and more than 70 glaciers.

The major trekking areas of Langtang region are Langtang Valley, Gosainkunda, Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu, Panch Pokhari and Tamang heritage trail which can be combined in many different ways.

This Trekking route goes through traditional, ethnic villages and untouched forests on the way to the peaks of langtang-lirung. This trekking trail continuous first west and then north for another 50 kilometers beyond Kaynjin Gompa, Dorje Lakpa and Shisha Pangma.
