There is only a international flight which from Kathmandu (Nepal). If you want to go there by overland it’s also possible from Kathmandu (Nepal). However, domestic flights are available from most cities of China like Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kunming, Chongqing, and Guangzhou. You are also able to travel by overland from these places.

When is the best time to go Tibet?

The best time to visit Tibet is early May to late October but August and September are golden time. Except mentioned time weather is cold and changeable so travel is not impossible.

Can I get the Tibet Travel Permit easily

You can get the Tibet Travel Permit easily through a travel agency except diplomats, journalists, and government officials who should travel to Tibet under the arrangement by the Foreign Affairs Office of Tibet Government.

Is individual travel possible in Tibet?

Yes it is possible travel to Tibet alone, but restrictions are imposed on travel to many areas.

What happens if I get sick?

We advise you to keep basic medicines with you. Our guide will also take basic medicines. If you have altitude sicknesses during the travel please inform your guide in time so that a timely precaution can be taken. In case of serious condition you will have been drive to Lhasa or Kathmandu which be near.

Is it easy to get the cash from ATMs in Tibet?

Yes, but only the Bank of China in Lhasa has this function. However, the ATM there doesn't always work properly. So we suggest you to bring some cash with you.
