Swayambhunath Stupa - The Serene Monkey Temple

Perched atop a hill overlooking the city, the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, offers a serene and spiritual retreat. Ascend the steep steps, flanked by mischievous monkeys, and reach the pinnacle to behold the magnificent golden spire. Take in the panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley, dotted with terracotta rooftops and ancient temples. Explore the various shrines and prayer wheels, immersing yourself in the mystical ambiance of this sacred Buddhist site.

Boudhanath Stupa - A Spiritual Haven

The Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world, is a revered pilgrimage site for both Buddhists and travelers seeking solace. Adorned with prayer flags and surrounded by monasteries, this colossal structure emanates a profound sense of tranquility. Join the devotees as they circumambulate the stupa, spinning prayer wheels and chanting mantras. Experience the rhythm of prayer, and visit the nearby Thangka painting schools to witness the intricate artistry behind these religious masterpieces.

Pashupatinath Temple - Epitome of Hindu Spirituality

For an immersive encounter with Hindu spirituality, a visit to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple is a must. Located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, this temple complex serves as the principal seat of Lord Shiva in Nepal. Observe the vibrant rituals, witness the cremation ceremonies, and gain insight into the rituals and customs surrounding death and rebirth in the Hindu faith. The temple's architecture, adorned with intricate wood carvings and gilded roofs, adds to its grandeur.

Patan Durbar Square - A Living Museum of Newar Architecture

A short distance from central Kathmandu lies the ancient city of Patan, also known as Lalitpur, renowned for its Newar architecture and rich cultural heritage. Explore Patan Durbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, which boasts a harmonious blend of pagoda-style temples, palaces, and intricately carved stone fountains. The real Kathmandu

It was comforting that the company owner sent us a message to introduce himself and confirm our booking. He also came to our hotel to introduce our guide and driver for the tour. Our guide, Saru, was amazing and the driver great. She was patient, informative and fun.

She took us to all the agreed locations and we had a great day seeing Kathmandu. A day later we contacted the owner again and requested another half day, which he managed to do straight away for the next day and we got the same great guide. We saw the other royal square, the back streets where we could see and meet the locals. Fun and fab time, thanks guys!

      Full-day Kathmandu City Tour

Everything was very well organised and punctual. The tour did not feel like 7 hours at all because we had such amazing and quality time strolling around centuries-old stupas and monasteries.

Mr Kumud is definitely one of the best tour guides. A very knowledgeable, calm and caring man that we are so glad to have known during our trip in Nepal. He takes good photos, too x. And trust him if he ever told you that Dibak- Mr Driver is the best driver in Kathmandu. Nepal's taxi drivers are mad.

Thank you for arranging a great tour and we are grateful for the wonderful experience.

      Definitely recommend!

      Kathmandu City Tour

I took this on Monday 6/05. The communication from booking and closer to the time was timely and informative. Pick-up took place at the time given and the tour commenced.

The tour guide Kumud was knowledgeable and interested in both conveying details of the sites visited (he asks question later and pretends to forget detail he has given you to test if you are paying attention, but in a jokey way).

The sites visited were set and there was a set route around them, but questions and diversions were answered and dealt with. I would do it again, simply because there is a lot of detail and sites to see, and have no hesitation in recommending the trip. The image is Kumud being fierce!
